Parachute Design Competition

On the 16th of November 2016 Aoibheann, Clodagh, Ryan and Noah went to Westport for a Parachute Design Competition in The Westport Woods Hotel.

When we got there we were given a black bin bag, 2 metres of string, one small plastic bag and eight straws. Our design was a rectangular parachute.

We had 30 minutes to make it and took us five minutes.To test the parachutes a man stood on the table, then on a ladder. He dropped each parachute from 3 metres.Our team came in second place and we each got a jumper and two drinking bottles. It was a good day.​
