Discovering Nature at Crimlin NS

At Crimlin NS, we believe that some of the best learning happens outdoors! Our school garden provides a wonderful wild space where pupils can explore, imagine, and connect with the natural world around them. This special area encourages curiosity, creativity, and hands-on discovery - from spotting insects and identifying plants to building dens and observing the changing seasons.

We encourage all our pupils to embrace the great outdoors and enjoy the freedom of playing and learning in every kind of weather. To make the most of this experience, children are asked to bring waterproof clothing and wellington boots so they can explore comfortably - whether it’s sunny, rainy, or muddy!

Our wild garden space helps children develop a deep appreciation for nature, while also building teamwork, resilience, and a sense of adventure. By stepping outside the classroom, pupils gain not only knowledge, but also the joy and confidence that come from discovering the world first-hand.
